DAY 3, SATURDAY, June 1

09:00am-05:00pm 4 Estate Visits in the areas surrounding Siena. Our hosts are proposing estate visits and lunch, discussion about management, family owning, business models, new trends, thinking farming and sustainability, nature... with
some extra activities such as horses, truffle hunting, olive oil and wine tasting.....some estate visits may be followed by a cultural visit on the way back to Siena.

1. BLUE TOUR: Wine and Family business
Visit to Castello FONTERUTOLI, hosted by Lapo Mazzei

10:00am welcome in the cellar, presentation of the Fonterutoli estate, wine tasting

12:30pm walking from the cellar to the Osteria for lunch

01:00pm-02:30pm Lunch

coffee in the garden of the Villa

04:00pm leave for next visit

05:00pm drop off in MONTERIGGIONI for a free visit

06:30pm return


2. RED TOUR: Hospitality & Regenerative Farming
Visit to BORGO SCOPETO, hosted by Elisabetta Gnudi

10:00am welcome and tour of the cellar at Borgo Scopeto winery,

discussion about the vineyard and countryside/agriculture part, wine tasting 

12:30pm Tour of Borgo Scopeto Relais discovering all the hidden wonders including a "Roccolo"

01:30pm Buffet lunch

02:30pm leave for next visit


Visit to TORRE ALLE TOLFE, hosted by Mania Castelli

03:00pm Historical tour with visit of the Borgo, undergrounds and cellar

04:00pm Oil tasting, discussion on regenerative farming

05:00pm-06:30pm (optional) walk through vineyards, olive plants and visit the farm

06:30pm return


3. GREEN TOUR: Nature & Wildlife
Visit to CASTELLO DEL CALCIONE, hosted by family Lotteringhi della Stufa

10:00am welcome at the castle 

1 group going for foraging with a nature guide, 1 group for horse riding

01:00pm Lunch

02:30pm  1 group going for foraging with a nature guide, 1 group for horse riding 

05:30pm return


4.ORANGE TOUR: History and Tuscan specialities
Visit to MONTALCINO- CARPAZO & ALTESINO wine estates,
hosted by Elisabetta Gnudi

10:00am Visit of Altesino winery

12:30pm Visit of Caparzo winery and lunch

02:30pm leave next visit

 

Visit to FRESCOBALDI- TENUTA LUCE wine estate hosted by the family

03:30pm Guided tour of the wine cellar of Tenuta Luce

05:30pm return

 

07:00pm  Borgo San Luigi, groups arrived from the different visits
07:30-08:00pm Informal dinner (BBQ), Borgo San Luigi
with thematic questions per table for Round Table Discussions


DAY 4, SUNDAY, June 2

11:00am-01:00pm  (on pre-reservation) Brunch at Borgo San Luigi


Bus Transfer 02:00pm from Borgo San Luigi Hotel only to Florence  A. Vespucci airport (Members at the Garden Hotel to make their own way to Borgo San Luigi - Spaces on the bus are limited and will be taken on a first come, first served basis)

Optional Post-tour/Stay Longer from June 2 until June 3
